“I have known and had the privilege of working with Tim on certain projects, for a number of years now. I have also read his book, “In the Zone”, and used many of the techniques and principles he teaches and discusses in the book, with much success. I believe Tim is fast becoming one of the finest mental coaches in South Africa, and I believe his work will have a significant impact on the teams or individuals that chose to engage with him."

Gary Gold, Assistant Springbok Coach

"Tim Goodenough joined the Sharks as Mental Coach for the Super 14 season of 2008.
Even though he had not previously worked with a team as a unity, Tim immediately fitted in and it was great to see how positively the players reacted to him and his sessions, as a team and individually.
His positive attitude and energy contributed a lot towards the success of the Sharks in the Super 14.

As a first time Captain (Super14), Tim helped me tremendously to identify, develop and apply my leadership skills for the good of the team.

Tim was a real asset for the Sharks."

Johann Muller, Sharks Captain and Springbok

"I believe that Tim added a new dimension to the way I play and prepare for a game, he gets you thinking about things you usually don't or have never thought about. This gives you a quiet confidence that makes you believe in yourself and go for it. I still use a lot of elements in my preparation to this day and thats the kind of influence he has had on my game."

Ryan Kankowski, Sharks and Springboks

"I have been under Tim Goodenough's program and can truly say it has had a positive impact on my career. The visualization was the most beneficial part for me: visualizing my scrummaging and my general play worked indeed. I could see all the things coming through into my game. The talking sessions with Tim also helped, talking about my goals for the year and over the long term gave me direction and steps towards my goals. Thanks Tim"

Tendai “The Beast” Mtawarira

"The sessions I had with you really helped me not only in my cricket, but also in my everyday life. It feels like I have the edge over my opponents, and im also understanding myself better (how to perform, and emotional awareness).Herewith I would like to thank you for working with me this past winter. I will definately make use of your expertise in the near future, as im always trying to improve myself and become one of the best cricketers around. Furthermore I will always recommend you to anyone who could benefit from your work."

Alviro Petersen, South Africa and Highveld Strikers

"I’ve become more mentally strong and (the program) made me realize how much I can still offer to the game to become a better player."

Odwa Ndungane, Sharks and Springboks

"My speed and power has improved. Reading the game is easier and that is all because of working with Tim. Mentally and visually my skills have improved. It has helped my approach to life off the field and to handle unexpected circumstances, to cope easier and to think before I react."

Nikolai Blignaut, Sharks, South Africa U21 and Emerging Springboks

"I have a lasting way of dealing with the ups and downs being selection, form or injury. The program has contributed a lot especially on the mental side, which is where the switch must happen before any physical changes that are recognizable can happen."

Sangoni Mxoli, Valke and South Africa U21 and Emerging Springboks

“I have found this to be most beneficial not only in my sports career but also in life in general. It has been a wonderful experience learning this skill (of zoning) and I believe with continual application of this technique my game shall improve in leaps and bounds. I will definitely recommend this to my team mates in the future.”

Simo Mpungose, Amateur Springbok
